(More customer reviews)My search for the best self-tanner, one that leaves skin looking sun-kissed without an orange hue, has lead me to this product. I tried a countless # of self-tanners, from drugstore brands to pricey high-end ones, and none compared to the results I received with this product. This leaves skin with a natural looking tan, a color that I would achieve by spending hours out in the sun (I am olive complexed). I initially used this 3 nights in a row (apply before bedtime) to achieve my desired color and have been re-applying twice weekly to maintain. There are 2 products that are "recommended" that you use before applying the bronzant that I didn't bother wasting my $ on since this is pricey enough (hence the 4 stars).

(More customer reviews)I love this product! I used the lotion in the past loving the results but disliking the wait time and inability to encounter water at length. The gradual tan is fabulous! After two days of use I swim, bathe and exercise with out worry. I either re-apply the St. Tropez or my normal, silicone-based, lotion. Either way my tan is still even and natural looking! The coloring is actually my natural skin tone after I bake in the sun for days. I am conscientious of sun damage and no longer bake in rays or beds. I am thankful to report encountering the sun, of any kind, is unnecessary for perfect results. This product is everything one wants from a self-tanner. The coloring is natural, subtly increases, even tones and does not disrupt the ph balance of one's skin. My skin is not oily, dry or leathery. The scent of the product is faint and pleasant. I wish I could purchase it in a larger quantity. I recommend full/even exfoliation and using gloves to apply the product.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item from a local Doctor/MedSpa. I think the smell is clean and fresh. I absolutely love the instant color it gives me and the fact that it hides some of the "flaws" on my legs. As far as the other review about trouble seeing the white cream when applying, I find the easiest way to apply is to pump equal amounts of EACH into the palm of my hand at one time, mix them up a bit, then apply. One application, no mistakes! Also, as with any instant tanning product, wear gloves when applying so your hands don't end up stained!

(More customer reviews)I really like this product. I've used it in the past and i was always happy with it. I stopped using it when i found it to be too expensive. I have quite pale skin and freckles so ive always had bad luck with with self tanners like this and they usually look too orange-so i've always stuck with the tanning moisturisers (which work brill too "dove"). I used this the first time without gloves and although the package says its ok -it's not! lol. I did have to scrub really hard a few times to take the colour off the palms of my hands.
I took a shower and exfoliated my skin top to toe. I then dried off (completely)and waited a few mins. I then moisturised my ankles,knees and elbows (i didnt do my face but if you do make sure you moisturise the hairline and put vasaline over your eyebrows so it doesnt stain them).
Then i put on some walmart bought latex gloves (you can prob buy them anywhere quite cheap and they're disposable)and pumped a few squirts of the product on my palms. It's always best to start from the feet upwards section by section ...ex: calves, thighs,buttocks,stomach...etc.
The great thing about this one is that it doesnt go on clear...it has a tint to it already so you can see where you've missed or where there is more or less andyou can add , ALSO you have a tan showing straight away even though the actual look develops over a 4hr period.
It dries within a minute so try not to get dressed straight away. It also says try not to sweat or get wet for about 4 hrs so its probably best to put it on before bed- a tip i use is i put a bit of talcum powder in creases that could just get naturally worn (inside of elbows and behind knees)but wait for the product to fully dry first. After 24hrs take a shower and you will have a great natural looking tan.
It does last thats the great thing but the smell is just stillthe smell of fake tan...so i smell like a cookie after ive applied it..but you can daily apply your usual moisturiser so the smell does go.
