(More customer reviews)I have not purchased this lotion online but have in a salon many times. I think this is one of the best lotions out there. Great color, no streaking, no orange hands, the smell going on is great. HOWEVER, after you tan, the smell is terrible. My husband (Mr. Brutally Honest) said that it gave off an combination odor of urine and heavy duty floor cleaning product. It was even worse once the water from the shower touched it. It was fine after the shower, great moisture & I didnt find that I hit a color plateau which was great. It came to be that I would only be able to use the lotion when I had no other plans after tanning and where I wasnt going to be around anyone to offend them & their olfactory nerve.

I wanted something that was not going turn me orange, smelled nice (not like tanning lotion), and gave me a slight tan when I used it. I love Hempz lotion and was REALLY excited when I found this product. It shipped quickly and works great. I love the smell, and I love that the smell only slightly lingers. It adds a little sparkle when wearing it and I have noticed that I am turning a little tan, instead of the glaring white I was. I only use it 2-3 times a week, in between my other lotions and when applying to my face, I don't wash my hands before putting on my regular face lotion. I get a little bit of the product mixed in with my regualr moisturizer and my face looks even and blended. The medium tone is perfect and I would recommend it for all skin colors, even the lightest pale. Very happy with this buy and once I run out I will buy it again!

(More customer reviews)I've been using Banana Boat Deep Dark sunless tanning lotion for a couple years and I love it! I dislike sprays because they get all over the bathroom floor and don't seem to "show up" as well.
The trick is to exfoliate thoroughly beforehand and then use rubber gloves to apply so as not to stain hands. Massage it in well and it will not streak. At the end, remove gloves and apply a dollop of lotion to the back of hands and then rub them together (back-to-back.)
I like to apply one coat at night, then one in the morning, then a final one the next night. Lasts about a week. You really need to exfoliate each week--a bit of work but worth it. Use exfoliation gloves/sugar rubs/loofas,etc. You will reap the benefits of silky smooth skin too!
I have naturally light skin (Scotch/Irish) and I use the deep/dark level because medium/light seems too light.
Great product, and I think better than the more expensive brands.

It was EXTREMELY HOT! And was soooo red! My husband was laughing at me cuz i was so red and hot i immediately stripped down and laid on the cold kitchen floor! But after an hour the red hot wore off and after 3 hours i was sooo brown and it looked amazing!! It also evened out my skin and hubby noticed that it gave my skin a beautiful glow on top of being so brown... i now swear by black storm and insanely black being THE BEST.. I've been switching back and forth for 2 week now and these 2 lotions together have gotten me the DARKEST I HAVE EVER BEEN! And I've been really dark! I've had so many compliments its amazing! I am not tan... i am deep dark chocolate brown! Love it!

I bought this because I used to use HEMPZ when I was tanning a couple of years ago and I remembered loving my tanning lotion! I now have severe dry skin and this makes my skin silky smooth and amazing! There is self bronzers in it, which give the sun kissed glow to my skin, but they aren't streaky or orange on me and I have very fair skin, as in if I didn't tan I wouldn't be able to wear make up in winter.
I absolutely love this product as I do with every HEMPZ product, because it makes my skin soo soft and smooth and hydrated! It's worth every penny!

Hawaiian Tropic Radiance works fantastic. NO SMELL!!! No streaking! Realistic color- I use medium. It doesn't dry as quickly as some but it's a small price to pay for the perfect (safe) tan. If you see it buy it- before I beat you to it!
PS. It claims to moisturize up to 12 hours. I don't know about that. I live in the desert and this alone wouldn't cut it. I still use lotion.

(More customer reviews)I've tried about 5 different tanning lotions. I just tried a foaming product from neutrogena last night and it dries really quickly and doesnt feel oily at all. I love that about it, BUT the color isnt realistic enough. the color of this banana boat tanning lotion is by far the best. it looks great and it always looks like a tan - not orange at all - the medium color product banana boat sells is a little orangey (well its a word now!!) so I stick to the deep dark. the only drawback is that I feel a gooey with the banana boat all over my body but I still think its the best I have tried and keep going back to it. I'm getting a little concerned because it seems like its harder and harder to find in stores. now I can only find it online.
one tip: i sleep between towels the night I apply it so I dont get it all over my sheets, the next morning, I take a shower and bingo! instant where-did-YOU-go-on-vacation glow. : ) temporary relief to peoples' eyes from the corneal damage due to the reflection of light off my body (okay, not that bad but I go from pasty to a great skin color with this product). I would like to see this stuff come in a large pump bottle for easier application and volume savings though.
