(More customer reviews)I received a sample of this in the mail several years back and I fell in love with it. It has been impossible to find but having just seen the other reviewing, I'm sad to see they discontinued it.
This is a perfect, light weight, smell good, subtle face self tanning lotion that is a great value. It has a very natural tan look which occurs over a couple days and can be used every day without looking like tobacco. So many others not only create a false tan look but are heavy lotion or have that revolting self tan smell which I really don't smell with this one.

Don't forget to exfoliate your skin first. It goes on nice and smooth and leaves a soft tan glow. I especially like it because it's safe to put on your face (don't have to worry about the color being too intense and it doesn't cause blemishes - on me anyway). Most important quality is that it looks natural.

I have used this product for years with no problems, i always bought it from department stores. This product i received from Beauty Encounters caused the skin on my face to burn, it became very red and was painfully stinging. When compared to my department store bought product, the gel was a different colour and consistency. Contacted Beauty Encounters but they would not refund the product because it was opened. Please do not buy from this company.

(More customer reviews)I have searched FOREVER for a self-tanner that doesn't smell icky, that goes on easily, and doesn't feel grimey on your skin like you can't wait to wash it off. After reading all these reviews, I decided to try the Tan Towel. I agree with another reviewer who said that they preferred the Tan Towel in the silver box. I received that the first time I ordered, but when I re-ordered, I thought I would be receiving the same thing. The second order came in an orange and white box and, while I still like the product pretty well, I do prefer the previous Tan Towel. I compared the ingredients and they do differ somewhat. The "original" one does seem to tan darker and with only one application (and that's using the same color on both). The newer one seems to take better after two applications. Still a good product with no smell and no messy feeling.

It was a bit messy the first time but then I got the hang of it. The only thing I didn't like was that everytime you tan you have to pour the whole canister in a bowl and soak allot of the tanner up in the towel...it was waseful of the liquid and didn't last too long. Great color but fades pretty quick.

I applied the lotion last night and woke up with the dreaded Umpa Lumpa orange face.
After much scrubbing with makeup remover wipes and finally exfoliating wipes some of the orange came off but I had to go out looking scary!
Honestly, are these products tested before being put on the market. I paid $45 for the product and expected great results but was fooled. My swedish skin is fair with a few freckles and this product did not give me any hint of brown, just orange.
