(More customer reviews)I received a sample of this in the mail several years back and I fell in love with it. It has been impossible to find but having just seen the other reviewing, I'm sad to see they discontinued it.
This is a perfect, light weight, smell good, subtle face self tanning lotion that is a great value. It has a very natural tan look which occurs over a couple days and can be used every day without looking like tobacco. So many others not only create a false tan look but are heavy lotion or have that revolting self tan smell which I really don't smell with this one.

Don't forget to exfoliate your skin first. It goes on nice and smooth and leaves a soft tan glow. I especially like it because it's safe to put on your face (don't have to worry about the color being too intense and it doesn't cause blemishes - on me anyway). Most important quality is that it looks natural.

(More customer reviews)I am a redhead. Very fair skin. I usually start going to the tanning bed around March for about 2 months to build a base tan for spring. This year, I decided to try Fake Bake because the tanning bed is bad for the skin, especially if you are fair and moley like me! I decided to apply this on a Friday night in case I came out looking like an orange and white zebra I would have the weekend to figure out what to do, but nope...this stuff is great. I followed the directions exactly and the next morning, after showering - I have a nice even color all over. I am impressed! I have used it twice now. Fakebake.com recommends using it once a week to maintain a tan. The second time I used it, same results but I am even darker. It looks like I have been going to the tanning bed. Very natural color and even. I also use Oil of Olay Quench Radiance Reviver everyday. This probably is helping maintain the tan a little longer. This is regular Oil of Olay Quench lotion with a hint of self tanner in it. It just subtly tans and says on the bottle that its just to give you a glow and not really a tan, but its great to use everyday in between using the Fake Bake once a week.

It's the best sunless tanner out there. It can be applied fast and with ease, doesn't streak, dries quickly, isn't sticky, and the original smell is good. Eventually, it does turn to the classic sunless tanner smell, but it's not very strong at all and doesn't last long. This product does, however, need a few coats to get good color but after a few coats, it is wonderful!

After reading all these reviews, I decided to try the Tan Towel. I agree with another reviewer who said that they preferred the Tan Towel in the silver box. I received that the first time I ordered, but when I re-ordered, I thought I would be receiving the same thing. The second order came in an orange and white box and, while I still like the product pretty well, I do prefer the previous Tan Towel. I compared the ingredients and they do differ somewhat. The "original" one does seem to tan darker and with only one application (and that's using the same color on both). The newer one seems to take better after two applications. Still a good product with no smell and no messy feeling.

(More customer reviews)Well, I found this product in a salon, and after a impressive demonstration on my own face, I could not be any more pleased. As a person with extremely fair skin which will burn but NEVER tans, this is a delightful product. As recommended, exfoliate before use, don't get wet for four hours (it will spot, if you do) and use it in the bathroom for easy clean up. It does not turn orange! I also get breakouts, and I'll wait to see if it causes any additional problems there, even though the bottle says it's non-comedogenic.

It was a bit messy the first time but then I got the hang of it. The only thing I didn't like was that everytime you tan you have to pour the whole canister in a bowl and soak allot of the tanner up in the towel...it was waseful of the liquid and didn't last too long. Great color but fades pretty quick.
