(More customer reviews)As another reviewer stated, this is not the same stuff you receive directly from Maui Babe. I originally ordered a bottle from their website and fell in love with the stuff. I was headed to the beach in 3 days so needed something capable of being overnighted. MauiBabe ships via USPS so this wasn't fast enough for me. I turned to Amazon and was shocked by the price difference ($22 for 1 8oz bottle on Maui Babes site, $18 for 2 8oz bottles here). I ordered the stuff off here and immediately noticed the difference. The labeling is the same, but the product in the bottle is definitely not. The stuff mailed to me from Amazon was way darker and smelled disgusting (the original stuff smells sweet). This stuff had a chemical smell to it. I emailed Amazon questioning why the discrepancy and they just issued me a refund. I didn't ask for one I was just wondering.
There is no way this is the same stuff you get directly from the company. This stuff stains your skin (looks like a self tanner) while the other stuff doesn't. The REAL product is amazing, but whatever they are selling here is not. Do NOT order it from SellThrifty, or any company not Maui Babe Inc. The product is not authentic.
I do credit Amazon for refunding me, however they shouldn't sell impostor products on here.

(More customer reviews)Well, I found this product in a salon, and after a impressive demonstration on my own face, I could not be any more pleased. As a person with extremely fair skin which will burn but NEVER tans, this is a delightful product. As recommended, exfoliate before use, don't get wet for four hours (it will spot, if you do) and use it in the bathroom for easy clean up. It does not turn orange! I also get breakouts, and I'll wait to see if it causes any additional problems there, even though the bottle says it's non-comedogenic.
Have fun, and enjoy your gorgeous glow!

This was the only self tanner given a rating of 0 on their 0-10 scale (0 representing a product with no toxic chemicals, 10 representing products with many). As the other reviewers point out, it doesn't give as dark a tan in one application as the more toxic brands, but that's low price to pay for the privilege of avoiding carcinogens.

After one or two 'applications', your tan is already full-on and streak-free. I apply it liberally because it is a lotion, after all -- It doesn't deliver a yellow- or orange-brown, but a red-brown, which is the most natural tan of all. The best part is that it dries quickly and doesn't carry any of the negatives that accompany regular self-tanners, so no major stains on your sheets, horrid smell or major damage if you DO flub while applying it. It's inexpensive, too. I bought it on a whim in the drugstore and it turned out to be a miracle! You really will be OK with reliquishing other self tanners and tanning beds once you discover this.

I've tried using other tanning oils before, but I just got a "pasty kind of dark" color after. When I used this, though, my skin color became a golden shade of brown. I love how my skin doesn't look pale anymore.
One important thing to be remembered before using this product (as with any other) is to EXFOLIATE and PATCH TEST (for any allergic reaction) first.

Fake Bake Self-Tanning Mousse, 4-Ounces Review

(More customer reviews)I am a religious user of self-tanners and the Fake Bake mousse has given me the best results yet!! I read many reviews that said the mousse shows up lighter than the cream, but in my case it was the opposite. I would recommend any Fake Bake product, but this one is so easy to apply and leaves me looking about 5 shades darker in the morning! I also have sensitive skin, and it doesn't cause breakouts either! I wear gloves when applying this product, and I use a makeup sponge to apply it to my face, hands, and feet and sleep in it. It doesn't look at all orange, doesn't rub off on sheets or clothes, and after a shower in the morning you have a beautiful tan. My only complaint (and you get this with ANY self-tanner) is that is does start to wear off on your elbow and knee pits when you sweat!
Just a little tip, I use this product all over my body once a week and do touch-ups with Tan Towels (which you can also purchase on Amazon).
