And it works well too. I've had no orange tinge or streaks, and a very natural looking tan. While I have a very fair complexion, the Vaseline Healthy Body Glow for Medium skin tones gives me an immediate, yet gradual and natural result, and I don't have to use it every day to maintain the look. It has a very mild summery smell that makes me think of the beach.
Others that I've tried had an 'off' smell that was very unpleasant, even repulsive, including Banana Boat & Neutrogena. As blindingly white as I can be without it, I had given up on self tanning for that reason until I got a sample of this one at a hotel. Now I use it winter and summer. It is a great moisturizer too. One other note, this product has never caused an allergic reaction for me, though I have other allergies and sensitive skin and have had severe whole body rashes at least three times from detergents and other irritants.

(More customer reviews)The first customer review must have been a defective box. I have ordered these twice and neither were dried up (although the boxes were smashed). These are particularly handy for traveling because they weigh less than a bottle of self tanner. The depth of the tanning shade is medium and has one of the least powerful scents compared to other lotions I've tried. The tanning sheet sufficiently covers your face, neck, chest, and tops of your shoulders (but wouldn't cover your entire body). I would recommend it and have given these as gifts and gotten friends hooked on them as well.

This is the best tanning product I've EVER used and I've used most of them. The color you get is believable and so beautiful and so natural and real looking I hardly believed my eyes. It's a beautiful brown - kind of like milk chocolate color. It's a bit on the pricey side but if you want to look natural and NOT orange, yellow or anther freaky color then get this and try it. I'm pretty sure you'll love how you look. It feels so nice to have a wonderful tanned look when you're as white as I am.
I got some gloves to wear from a beautiful supply store and I use them to apply this gel. Now if you have any of those nasty brown spots they tend to get darker as you apply this gel. I cover them up with those little round band aids and when I'm done applying this product I take those off and do a little blending around them. Now even my gold jewelry looks nicer and shows up more on my ''tanned'' skin. I don't go out in the sun but I look like I do. I love it.

(More customer reviews)I was a bit skeptical at first to try this. So I set up my camera and took pictures before I applied the product. I applied it every day for a week and at the end of that week it was amazing to compare the pictures.
The lotion smells great and is easy to apply. It gently changes your skin tone from a ghost to looking like you have a natural tan to your skin.
The only disadvantage is you do need to sit still for a few minutes to let the lotion dry or it will get on everything and discolor it. I usually sit on a towel when I do this and turn on a fan or something.

(More customer reviews)I've been using Liquid Bronze for a few years now and I adore it. I have light olive skin with yellow undertones and this gives my face a warm, natural tan.
I do have to apply it twice to get the desired depth as it is a fairly light shade, but it's worth it. I can put makeup on within a few minutes of application. The lotion dries fast and doesn't break out my early 30's, yet acne prone skin.
The color looks quite natural on me as I have 'italian skin' and my body tans if a lightbulb is too bright (well, practically!), but I wear sunscreen on my face. I can have my face match the rest of my body with this. When I go on holiday and acquire a deeper tan, I switch to Clarins Intense Bronze which is a liquid formula.

(More customer reviews)Sunless tanning is always tricky; Many products tend toward orange and they are often hard to apply in a consistent manner - resulting in awful streaks. Coppertone Oil Free Sunless Tanning lotion does a pretty good job of getting around these problems as long as you follow the directions.
The lotion has a very dark tint to it, to help you see where you are applying it, which helps avoid streaking. You can lose track, even so, so take it in small steps. That said, it is easier to apply evenly than many others I've tried. Just be sure to work in THIN layers. It can go on thickly if you apply it that way but you are likely to end up with streaks.
The result was a little darker than I expected, but that is a good thing. Normal washing (as of hands or face) lightens the color considerably and scrubbing removes it completely. So if you want to keep the color, daily re-application will be necessary.
Overall, I would rate this as a much better than average sunless tanning product.

The "faux tan" is almost better than natural - it doesn't have an orange-y color, the lotion smells wonderful and there are no streaks left behind. It's tinted to help with even application. It's early spring so I thought I'd try this one since it's "building" a tan- which implies that it doesn't turn you orange in one shot, but it does. I also got wicked streaks on the backs of my legs and blotches on ankles and feet despite being VERY careful applying it. I really wouldn't recommend this product, even without the streaks the color is far too orange and isn't really gradual at all. I applied the color mid-afternoon and the full color developed by the next morning by the way.

I'm pretty fair skinned and I like the color the medium to dark gives me (the fair to light version barely shows up). By far the best smelling sunless tanning product out there! it is a bit sticky, but standing under a ceiling fan at high speed for a minute or two seems to do the trick of drying the lotion completely. It will stain white underwear and clothes, so avoid wearing white on the days you apply this lotion. I've also spilled the lotion on my light beige carpet and no cleaner can get it out, so be careful when applying!

It doesn't have that "self tanner smell" that other brands have and it produces a very natural looking even color. I've found this to be even better than a salon spray on tan using this method: 1. Use exfoliating gloves in the shower the day your going to use this. Don't shave or you will get brown dots around your hair follicles. 2. Use a heavy moisturizer on your feet from the ankles down and on your knees and elbows front and back. 3. Using gloves smooth tanning cream all over one body part and then use a damp washcloth to dab the areas where you placed the moisturizer. For example, smooth all over one leg then dab the feet, ankles, and knees with the damp washcloth and then do the other leg. Your tan will come out perfectly! Exfoliate every few days and use a moisturizing tan extender (or gradual tanner) daily if you want to keep it as dark as possible.
